Welcome to Windows of the West. I hope you find my galleries as enjoyable to look at as I enjoyed taking them. I would like you to open your window and see the west as I see it through my camera lens. All photos are printed at the maximum resolution.

Photographs make wonderful gifts to friends or relatives, or even for you. Feel free to contact me about any of my photographs. I would like to place one of my photos on your wall so you may open your window of the west.

I have been taking photographs since 1974 but since 2000 I have been trying to find scenes that would be enjoyable to hang on your wall. Some photos require a 5 - 24 mile hike while others are only a short distance from the road. I love being out in nature and trying to catch the best angle and light for my photos. Sometimes you have to get out of bed early in order to catch a sunrise, while the winter pictures require enduring below-zero temperatures to get the right shot. Currently, I am using a Pentax K-3 24 MP DSLR camera using the following lenses: Sigma 17-50 F2.8 EX DC, Sigma 170-500 F5-6.3 APO, or Tamron 18-200 f 3.5 - 6.3 XR Di II LD lens. I print my photos using an Epson SureColor P800 with Ultra Chrome HD ink on Epson Ulta Premium Photo Paper Luster (or other Epson medium photo paper upon request) and utilizing Adobe Photoshop. I can scan prints or negatives with an Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO scanner.

I was born and raised in St. Anthony, Idaho the stepping stone to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. After getting married I lived in Teton City for 25 years with my wife Debby and our sons Jared, Kirk, and Robbie, before moving back to St. Anthony.

Many of my photographs have won state fair ribbons and can be seen in the “Best of Photography” 2002, 2003, and 2006 Annuals and Shutterbug magazine. I also displayed a select few at the 2008 New York Art Expo in New York City.

I also supply links to some beautiful and useful websites that I think you’ll find interesting.

The photographs are covered by my unconditional 100% money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the photographs, just send them back in the package received it in. All images and text featured on this site are Copyright © of Gene K. Mace unless otherwise indicated
